We’re delighted - but not entirely surprised - that Tunde Olaoye has been shortlisted for the 2019 CIBSE Building Performance Engineer award.
In the three years Tunde has been with us he’s channelled his energy and enthusiasm into every task he’s faced. As our Energy Performance Solutions Engineer, he has gone above and beyond on our Energy Performance contract with Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council. This ten year Re:fit framework partnership aims to improve energy and carbon savings by more than 25% in no less than 14 council buildings. These include a mix of historic and modern structures ranging from Halifax Town Hall and Victoria theatre to Todmorden Sports Centre and Park Wood Crematorium.
Tunde thrives on collaboration, combining meticulous engineering skills with warm-hearted charisma to achieve incredible results. His unique set of talents were put to good use in specifying, designing and advising on a huge range of engineering solutions to keep this project on track, on time and on budget. These solutions included LED lighting, combined heat and power systems, high efficiency gas boilers, an air handling unit with heat recovery, a variable refrigerant volume system, building management system and solar PV arrays.
So far, the project is delivering savings which are exceeding expectations – something Tunde is rightly proud of. We’ll find out how he gets on at the awards ceremony on 12th February 2019. And if you’d like Tunde and the team to work on a project for you, please get in touch.
