Having a complete picture of your energy, carbon and other services, can make a huge difference. SSE’s Business Energy Intelligence (BEI) is our energy visualisation platform that gives you a forensic picture of not just your energy consumption, but also water, EV, carbon, heat, steam and virtual metering and sub-metering. With this knowledge, you can make changes to cut your energy wastage, your bills, and your carbon footprint.
In part 1 of this article, we discussed what BEI is, and how it can help you. In part 2, we will discuss some of the reports generated by BEI, both static and interactive, and the BEI Managed Service.
BEI compiles and presents your information and consumption trends in a range of static reports and interactive reports in shareable formats. These allow you to easily demonstrate compliance with legislation such as ESOS and ISO 50001 (energy management) and show reductions off the back of energy efficiency work.
Interactive reports allow end-users to carry out various types of data discovery and analysis with ease. BEI’s interactive reports provide actionable information that can be easily modified and customised to help end-users access the information they need and in turn, drive better business decisions.
Static reports: allow end users to run reports which look at data covering a specific point in time. Once ready, the reports are saved in the user’s report library.
Static reports can be scheduled and distributed to others, e.g. automatically emailing a weekly report, delivering the right information to the right people at the right time.
The managed service means you get the most out of your sites without having to put more effort in. You’ll work with our Energy Optimisation Team, made up of three skill sets; energy experts, engineers and analysts: all working to help you reduce your energy wastage.
Our solution is scalable from basic alarm management to board-level reporting.
